Artist's Comments

These page 16 and 17 have been very frustrating. Partly because I had difficulty trying to figure out a way to illustrate it that made sense to the viewer, and mostly because I had difficulty making sense of what was actually written. It was kind of vague. I wondered if it was some sort of reference to Guards! Guards! in which a good portion of the floors and walls of the Patrician's palace had been renovated according to the desires of the new "king". But it wasn't very clear.

Thus, somewhat clueless and too proud (and perhaps embarrassed) to ask another Discworld fan, I took the scholar's route; I guessed and made it up under the assumption that Vetinari is just that kind of a bastard to place random abysmal stone shafts behind creepy doors and tell interviewees to walk through them.

EDIT: As of Making Money, I can finally confirm that this is very likely a somewhat more accurate depiction of the scene than I had originally thought. Yay me.

Going Postal Comic Page 17. Based on the book by Terry Pratchett. Remember: The book is better! *wink wink*

EDIT: Two years later, and I finally apologize on new updates? For shame, me, for shame. I am sorry to those I disappointed by not continuing the comic, and I apologize to the people who just got here and realized that there isn't anymore. Continuing with Going Postal is still something that is always in the back of my mind as something I want to complete, but I don't know at this point when I'll feel up to it again.

I was interested to see how you'd illustrate the creepy dark pit.

You did not let me down.

It just keeps going and going and going and going...

I always imagined it to be just a hole, going down past several floors to the lobby below. Very unrealistic.

I'm glad you're doing this again. :) Think you'll do some "Making Money" fanart when it comes out?

Now the movie's turned into a play. Still good, though.

I really do want to read this book now. I've been on a book hun this past month and nothing seems any good anywhere, but now I remember that you where illustrating this book... and it seems like a good one! Quirky, serious, a good original plot... of course, I'll be imagining all the characters as animals now, but that won't be so bad. ;0

Very nice. I think this turned out well, whether or not it's just like the book ;) I haven't read it yet (and I do say yet), so I wouldn't know.

I really like your drawing style =) Your anthros are great!

Well down, it's how imagined the hole to be (Vetinari is exactly that kind of bastard). I'm so glad you are drawing this adaptation again.
:iconcrewwolf:
I believe I shall. I will have a merry good 'ol time.

Man, now I'm all excited again. Making Money is coming out in two days! What shall I do with myself until then (besides drawing and working on the comic and doing homework and studying and such)? :noes:

a hand fell on my shoulder and a voice said
reassuringly: 'Cheer up, things could get worse.' So I cheered up and, sure enough, things got worse."
:iconlimpurtikles:
Well, it certainly sounds like something Vetinari would do at least.
